Innovation Fund Programme Hydrogen & Industrial Heat Auction

With a budget of €1.3 billion, the IF25 Hydrogen Auction supports the production of renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO) from hydrogen or electrolytic low-carbon hydrogen in three areas, including for hydrogen producers with customers in maritime or aviation.

The Innovation Fund also offers a low-carbon heat auction (IF25 Heat Auction) to promote the decarbonisation of important industrial processes.
As part of the Clean Industrial Deal, the Innovation Fund is also offering an auction for industrial heat production (IF25 Heat Auction) to promote the decarbonisation of key industrial processes.

This heat auction will have a budget of up to €1 billion to support projects that decarbonise industrial process heat through innovative technologies, e.g.:

• Heat pumps;
• Electric boilers;
• Resistance heaters;
• Induction and plasma heaters;
• Renewable heat solutions (solar thermal and geothermal)
