The Global Project – TWIN-PORT– is an upgrade of an existing but inefficient maritime cross-border transport link between two Member States; Finland and Estonia. The maritime link is situated in the Gulf of Finland and connectsthe Ports of Helsinki and Tallinn. It is an important link with direct connections to existing and planned Rail Baltica and road networks (Via Baltica) on both sides of the border.
