Integrated Battery Power for MS Piret – E-PROOF – Electric Propulsion for Ferry

E-PROOF will integrate battery power into the propulsion system of an ocean-going passenger ferry and demonstrate the commercial feasibility of electric maritime transport in high latitudes, with the additional challenges of adverse weather and sea ice. This project will combine innovative technologies in three main areas:

• Optimization of batteries
• Energy Management System (EMS)
• Grid Integration
