Innovation Fund Programme Net-Zero Technologies Call

The European Commission has published the Innovation Fund’s Call in December 2025, making available €2.9 billion for Net-Zero Technologies.

The call is open for projects with capital expenditure between EUR 20 and 100 million located in EU Member States or EEA Countries (i.e. Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein). Projects will be evaluated against five criteria: degree of innovation, greenhouse gas emission avoidance, project maturity, replicability and cost efficiency. The selected projects will contribute to the transition to a climate-neutral economy by 2050 and, particularly, the decarbonization of sectors covered under the EU ETS.

The call aims to support projects that deploy highly innovative technologies, processes, business models or products/services, are sufficiently mature and have a potential to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The Innovation Fund Net-Zero Technologies Call is divided into Small, Medium, and Large-Scale Projects:

• Small-scale for projects with CAPEX between 2.5 million and 20 million EUR
• Medium-scale for projects with CAPEX between 20 million and 100 million EUR
• Large-scale for projects with CAPEX above 100 million EUR
